Top Camping Tips You Should Know before first trip

There a number of tips for your camping trip and you should know the tips before your first trip.

What are the tips in this post? Those will save your time and energy, and make you feel comfortable for your camping journey in your life.

Let’s have a look at the tips.

Do not buy all gears at once

You will probably ask ‘why?’. When you go shopping for camping gears, you might think, ‘hmm I need a tent, chair, table, sleeping bag, chilly bin, and,, lantern’. Yea, you are right but you should know that you have so many options for each camping gear and camping style is so different by family, individual. I highly suggest that you go camping with limited gears you purchased and borrow some gears from family or friends. Then understand your camping style first. In this way, you could avoid mistakes your multiple buy and sell activities for one item.

Prepare ready-meal at home

If you go camping with kids, yeah it is highly recommended. During the camping, cooking takes longer than usual at home due to limited space and facilities.

Preparing at least 2-3 meals such as burritos and pasta sources will definitely make your camping easy. For the rest of meals, bbq or sandwiches, or noodles is a good option.

Go first camping with experts

This is the most important tip! If you go to your first camping trip with your own family, my answer is ‘No, No’.

You might be overwhelmed when you face with multiple issues like setting up a tent takes more than 2 hours, you cannot pack the tent, sleeping bags, or mats in the same way when you brought them from home, you don’t even know what to do for heavy rain or very strong wind.

This could discourage you go camping next time and you could end up with selling all camping gears and becoming an anti-camping person.

You should go camping for the first three trips with highly experienced friends and learn what and how to do essentials. They can also give you camping hacks and suggestions about camping gears, campsites and more details as they have probably made many mistakes so far and learned a lot from the mistakes.

Book a campsite close to kitchen and toilet

You should check a campsite map before booking your trip and find out a few good sites.

I usually check the map and find playground, kitchen and toilet, then ask ring the reception to ask availability of those campsites that are close to the facilities.

It doesn’t have to be right next to the facilities, but 2-3 minute distance is so handy.

I am sharing my camping tips for new campers so they feel comfortable about the next camping.

Welcome to any questions. Hope this post helps you plan your first camping trip!
